Talks in Kumanovo on withdrawal of the Yugoslav Army and the police from Kosmet, between General Michael Jackson and the Yugoslav delegation, were interrupted today at around 17:15 hrs. Today’s talks, which started around 14:00 hrs, Clifford assessed as very constructive and announced the continuation of the talks for tomorrow morning.

The first group of Pomoravlje district police has returned from Kosovo and Metohija where it was engaged in the fighting against the separatist KLA, Beta reports.

NATO briefing: Jamie Shea stressed that Milosevic is to be blamed for the continuation of air strikes, and not NATO. RS Vice President Mirko Sarovic, PM Milorad Dodik and Minister of Interior Sredoje Novic talked in Banja Luka today in separate meetings with Elisabeth Rehn. RS has a three-week deadline to apply the most important provisions of the agreement on the reconstruction of the RS police, Rehn stated after the meetings.
