Zivko Radisic welcomed the acceptance of the Kosovo peace plan. He said that it was the key thing to stop the bombing and prevent any further suffering of the population.
RS President Nikola Poplasen, who was dismissed from office by the High Representative, emphasised that the cessation of bombing, peace and stability would have significant value, adding that if signing the plan meant NATO troops in Kosovo then it is capitulation.
Acceptance of the peace plan was not capitulation of the FRY – Djokic said, emphasising that this plan was a step towards long-lasting peace in the region.
Milorad Dodik supported acceptance of the peace plan.
Boris Yeltsin assessed that the Kosovo war could be finished within the next few days.
Bill Clinton welcomed the acceptance of the peace plan but said that the air campaign would resume.
Robin Cook said that air strikes would continue until Serb forces start to withdraw.
Milan Panic, former FRY PM, talked with NATO ambassadors in Brussels and asked them to give economic aid to Yugoslavia. He assessed that this aid would be effective only if a transitional government was constituted in Yugoslavia.
