A special meeting of the Ribnik Municipal Council started today, and the discussion centered on the situation following the joining of Velecevo and Dubocani to the Federation, in exchange for Koprivna. The Councillors requested SFOR to annul the Agreement on Exchange. They also demanded to be informed on whether the new RS Government was involved in this exchange, and that the exchange issue be included in the agenda next session of the RS NA. The discussion will continue in two days, at a meeting which members of the RS Government announced they would attend.

The Syndicate of Brcko Municipal Administration Employees today rejected a proposal by the RS Government that employees of Serb nationality, who will loose their jobs due to the implementation of a multiethnic administration, should be paid in full until finding alternative employment or returning to their jobs. The demand of the Syndicate is that an opportunity should be provided for buying up five years’ length of service, or that credits should be provided for those employees in order to enable them to start some other business.

The SNS will bring up the issue of trust in the current leadership of the RS NA at its next session, announced Svetozar Mihajlovic, Vice President of the SNS, in Bijeljina today. Mihajlovic emphasized that at the 5th session the SDS and the SRS did not accept conditions required at the previous session for the election of the third Deputy Speaker from the Coalition for Single BiH, thus violating the Dayton Peace Agreement. The session should be held on June 11th and 12th in Banja Luka, and the NA should pass 14 new laws prepared by the RS Government.

OHR Spokesman, Rida Attarashany, confirmed to SRNA today that sports were the responsibility of the entities, but he advocated joint representation of BiH in international competitions. Reacting to this statement, Momcilo Krajisnik, member of the BiH Presidency, said that this kind of pressure from the IC for establishing joint representative teams of BiH was a violation of the Dayton Agreement and an attempt forcibly to unite BiH.
