CNN, BBC, BiH Press, and Belgrade’s BETA reported that Yugoslav Government Vice President Draskovic was replaced, according to the Federal Ministry of Information announcement. The announcement says that Government President Bulatovic discharged Vuk Draskovic from his membership in the Federal Government, because of his public lines, opposite to official Government’s position.

US President Clinton met with the Congressmen in order to clarify differences about financing of the Kosovo operation and the strategy in the region. Republican representatives, although divided themselves, keep trying to show that Clinton does not know what is he doing, i.e. Clinton demanded $6 billion for further Kosovo operation, while Republicans said that at least $12.9 billion should be approved.

US Secretary of State addressed once more to the Serbian people. Albright said that NATO allies are determined to continue the air-campaign until the Yugoslav authorities accept the demands of the International Community. RTV BiH covered the full statement of US Secretary of State Albright.

NATO Secretary General Solana said that NATO aims not only to defeat Milosevic but also to contribute to a long-term peace, economic prosperity, democracy and stability of Southeast Europe. Solana repeated that Milosevic can stop NATO air strikes any time he wants, if he complies with the International Community demands, and until that, he will be considered responsible for everything that is taking place in Yugoslavia.

A joint statement was signed in Pristina by Serbian President Milutinovic, and Kosovo Albanians leader Rugova, on searching for political solution for future Kosovo autonomy. Today’s NATO targets included Novi Sad refinery, TV transmitter in Fruska Gora, Kosovska Mitrovica, Pristina, and Paracin.
