Prosecutors from all cantons attend meeting of anti-corruption team
Annexes to the Laws on Federal Prosecution and on Witness Protection have made the work of judicial institutions more efficient. “At today’s (Thursday) meeting we have analysed system changes brought by the anti-corruption campaign. They have strengthened the prosecution, but need further help, and this is a condition for entering the European Council and European integration” stated BiH Federation Vice-president Ejup Ganic. Improvement of the Law on Judiciary will also advance the autonomy and efficiency of judges and the judicial branch. Quicker appointment of judges and prosecutors is also needed. Federal financial police are facing a task of identifying tax evasion and falsification of financial documents and, therefore, need more personnel and material support. The meeting was concluded with a claim that only the fight against corruption can negate the damage brought by foreign press.
