RTV BiH reporter from Washington said that after the NATO summit in Washington, the issue of sending troops to Kosovo remained ‘extremely unsaid’. In the view of possible troops sending to Kosovo, Macedonian President, Gligorov explicitly refused the possibility that NATO troops for Kosovo should be stationed in Macedonia.

RTV BiH reporter from Belgrade said that except for one hour today afternoon, there were no air warnings today. On the occasion of the Day of the State, Federal Republic of Yugoslavia President Milosevic received many greetings and supports, saying i.e. “… therefore, lead us toward the way of great victory, a victory that may have world-wide significance and importance” Association of Refugees in Federal Republic of Yugoslavia said. Milosevic met today with the International Committee of the Red Cross President Somaruga, discussing engagement of Red Cross Mission in Yugoslavia. Milosevic said he could guarantee their safety in Serbia, except for NATO strikes.

Montenegrin Foreign Minister, Perovic said in regard with decision on sanctioning Federal Republic of Yugoslavia by cessation of all fuel inflows, that authorities in Montenegro are ready to guarantee that “not a single drop of oil will leave Montenegro.” Perovic also said that this decision would deteriorate already unstable economic situation in Montenegro. The BBC TV crewmembers, which were arrested yesterday by Yugoslav Military Police, were all released today.

Macedonian State radio reported that a convoy of about 30.000 refugees is moving from Urosevac toward Macedonia. Macedonian Government estimated that expenses for refugee care has reached $200 million.

US Congress is soon to approve additional $10 billion for continuance of NATO strikes on Yugoslavia, and to support all necessary measures to ensure victory in Kosovo.

High Representative Westendorp has informed today European Union Foreign Ministers about the influence that the Kosovo crisis has on the DPA implementation. Westendorp gained full support from the ministers for all the actions that contribute to the DPA implementation.

European Union Council of Ministers demanded a whole spectrum of measures against Federal Republic of Yugoslavia officials, including prohibition of travel to European countries and freezing of bank accounts in European countries. All economic sanctions, imposed last year because of actions in Kosovo are being intensified. The CoM also demanded, among other things, that Yugoslavia be excluded also from all sport competitions.

SFOR Commander Meigs and HR Principal Deputy Klein met in Banja Luka with the Assembly President Djokic, and the Republic of Srpska Premier Dodik. At the same time, the SDS party in Bijeljina announced International Community representatives personae non grata in this town. After today’s meeting, Djokic said that main issues of the discussion were election of the Government and the upcoming donors conference and that General Meigs offered his assurances that BiH air space would not be used for NATO flights. HR Deputy Klein said that the International Community warned Croatia that they would not tolerate prevention of fuel delivery to the Republic of Srpska.

Municipality Board of the SDS Bijeljina thanked the International Community for all co-operation conducted so far and said that as of today, the SDS ceases all contacts with the International Community representatives until the NATO strikes on Yugoslavia are ceased.

Session of the RTV BiH Board of Governors was held today in the RTV BiH building. Main issues of the meeting were problems in the work of this house. BoG President Domazet gave a statement after the meeting, and said that the priority problem for the BoG remains establishment of the Federal Television of BiH. Domazet said that despite financial and other problems, the improvement of programme is proceeding. He also added that the BoG expects the Law on Federal TV to be adopted soon. We have received 86.000 Marks from the International Community since the beginning of this year, Domazet said, and added that they expect this support to follow after all and that co-operation with “Erotel” and cantonal televisions.
