The Hague Tribunal officially raised indictments against Mladen Naletilic – Tuta and Dinko Martinovic – Stela, due to their participation in ethnic cleansing in the Mostar area. Naletilic was commander of a special military unit in Mostar since 1991, while Martinovic was commander of Croatian Defence Forces Militia in 1992.

Celebration of the bridge opening between Orasje in BiH and Zupanja in neighboring Croatia was carried out in the presence of high BiH and Croatia delegations, led by BiH Presidency Chairman Radisic and Croatian President Tudjman. The state delegations also held conversations on important issues regarding co-operation between BiH and Croatia.

BiH Central Bank Governor, Nicholl held a press conference in Banja Luka and said that the BiH National Bank has stopped operating that its irregular deposits are frozen and that no transactions can be carried out without approval from the BiH Central Bank. Other issues were also BiH Konvertibilna Marka and its relation toward the future European currency.

BiH National Assembly session was continued today. The Government withdrew the Law on Changes and Addends to the Law on Housing Relations from the parliamentary procedure as well as the draft Law on Changes and Addends to the Law on Intelligence and Security Services. RS President Poplasen also commented on the Madrid Declaration and appealed to the delegates to be cautions when discussing the laws based on this document. Poplasen said, “the Madrid Document contains a fatalistic nuance, a trend that we want to stop” not mentioning which trend this was. After Poplasen’s speech the SDS delegates abandoned the session, protesting because the RTV did not make the live coverage of the RS president for the first time.
