CoM Co-chairman Silajdzic commented on Kuwait Government Development Fund investment for the Zenica steel-mill – the “BiH Steel”, and said that this represents another step forward in BiH economy. This morning, the NATO aircraft stroke FRY President’s residency in Belgrade. The strikes also continued in Kosovo, Novi Sad, Kursumlija, Kraljevo, Krusevac and other parts of Serbia. Yugoslav President Milosevic met with Russian Special Envoy Cernomyrdin, discussing possible solution of the Kosovo crisis. Yugoslav Minister of Information Komnenic said that the 7.200 NATO strikes carried out so far resulted in 517 casualties, including 13 children, 4.500 seriously injured, and in material damage which is estimated to be several tens of billions of US dollars. Yugoslav authorities officially accused the NATO alliance for attempting assassination of the Yugoslav President.

“When you are dealing with a criminal, use of force is not an aggression, but establishing of legitimacy” Romanian Defence Minister said. Montenegrin President Djukanovic said that Milosevic is using the war in order to manipulate the army to take over civilian rule in Montenegro. “Kosovapress” Agency reported that Serbian forces massacred 64 Albanians, according to eyewitnesses. OSCE Mission in Tirana said that conflicts continued at the Albanian border. Bosniak National Council from Sandzak reported on harassment of Bosniaks in Sandzak.

OHR spokesperson Stiglmayer said that staff of international organisation is returning to their offices in the RS, after they temporarily moved out from them, when NATO strikes began. The RS Government held a session today, discussing consequences that NATO strikes on Yugoslavia have had on the RS economy.

OHR spokesperson Stiglmayer said that if there is no results in the Sarajevo Declaration implementation in the next several months, Sarajevo Canton could face sanctions.
