News Summary

Tuzla police questions Dnevni Avaz journalist and lawyer Balijagic for allegations against Tuzla judge

Dnevni Avaz Journalist Elvir Huremovic and Tuzla lawyer Faruk Balijagic were detained and questioned by Tuzla police in connection with an investigation into allegations made against Tuzla Court Justice Dijana Milic. The Tuzla Cantonal Prosecutor called Huremovic as a witness in the case against Balijagic, who insulted Milic in a news article, entitled ‘Judge Milic Committed Genocide against (Mirnes) Ajanovic.’ Huremovic emphasized the absurdities of this case. It could be a precedent when a journalist, any journalist, can be taken in for questioning if someone is offended by someone else’s statement in an article that journalist writes. (01:55)
