Sarajevo

NATO Commander for Europe, General Wesley Clark, visited Sarajevo and talked with the members of the BiH Presidency about implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement and preparations for the forthcoming South East European Pact of Stability Summit. A report on this was produced by the OBN crew from Kiseljak and reporter, Vanja Elezovic.

Mostar

All important institutions in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and the town of Mostar are influenced by politics. This was the reason why the High Representative in BiH made four decisions for the Canton and its capital which clearly define necessity of cooperation between the Croat and Bosniak officials. This was followed by a report from Mostar and reactions on the High Representative decisions. OBN reporter from Mostar, Enes Ratkusic, sent a report on the reactions.

The High Representative addressed to the Mayor of the Sanski Most Municipality, Mehmed Alagic, saying that according to the European countries’ standards, Alagic should resign or suspend his activities until results on allege misuse of his title has been conducted.

Sarajevo

A report on the meeting of the vice presidents of BiH entities, Ejup Ganic and Mirko Sarovic. This was the first meeting of the two vice presidents since their appointment. The main topics of their discussion were the forthcoming South East European Pact of Stability Summit and return of refugees. OBN presented statements of both vice presidents.

Topic of TV INFO – Srebrenica

Four years ago, the Srebrenica tragedy occurred. During July, the Srebrenica people have been organising different events. Approximately 7,5 thousand people from Srebrenica is still missing. A report on the current political situation in the town was produced by OBN reporter, Vedran Persic, who visited Srebrenica.

Sarajevo

A report on the continuation of the BiH Federation session which began yesterday. Today, the Govrenment adopted five suggestions for law on special taxes for drinks, coffee, beer, oil products and import of personal vehicles.

Banja Luka

This was followed by a report on the session of the RS Government. The RS Government discussed border between the Republic of Croatia and BiH. Valentina Knezevic produced a report on this.

Syndicate

A report on the problem of dismissal of workers due to their nationality. Reports on the problems the BiH workers faces with came from Sarajevo and Banja Luka. OBN reporter, Anes Alic, produced the report in Sarajevo.

Kosovo

During the last week, approximately 650 thousand refugees have returned to Kosovo. The process of return is continuing. Opposition parties in Serbia are becoming more active every day. Many people ask Milosevic’s resignation. OBN journalist, Gordana Frimel, produced the report.

This was followed by a report on the current events in Democratic Republic of Congo. The report produced OBN journalist, Mladen Maric.

Sarajevo

A report from the public tribune organised by the USA institution for media support. The participants discussed differences between the USA and BiH journalism. OBN reporter, Damir Kaletovic, produced the report.

Sport

A report on the “Intertoto” Cup football matches was followed by the finals of the World Football Championship for women in the USA.

Sarajevo

A report on the presentation of recently discovered dictionary “Blago jezika slovinskoga”. The dictionary had beer written more than 300 years ago. Dr fra Andrija Nikic presented the dictionary.
