Travnik

Alija Prcanovic was badly hurt in a bomb explosion in the Central Municipality building in Travnik this morning. Investigation is underway. Reported by Ana Drmac.

Mostar

The Canton Prosecutor in Mostar asked the ICTY to take over cases of five Croats, indicted war criminals. The Head of the OHR in Mostar, Finn Lynghjem appealed on them to surrender, Mirsad Behram confirmed from Mostar.

Banja Luka

The RS Assembly session started in Banja Luka today. The announced discussion on the RS Government’s work was postponed. The session will continue tomorrow, at 9 a.m. The report was produced by Dragan Stanimirovic.

Sarajevo

Tax inspectors continued control of daily newspaper “Dnevni avaz”. The Federation Prime Minister, Edhem Bicakcic denied his participation in the control of “Dnevni avaz”. The tax administration claims that this is part of their regular tax control in the Sarajevo Canton. “Dnevni avaz” announced that printing of newspapers would continue until further notice. Sarajevo

A delegation of the European Parliament ended their visit to B&H. “Education is the key problem for the future of B&H”, said Doris Pack, the Delegation leader. She appealed on B&H officials to stop corruption in the country. Ms. Pack hopes that the B&H Parliament will adopt a new Election Law soon. OBN reporter Vedran Persic produced the report.

Turkey

The B&H delegation, led by the B&H Foreign Minister Jadranko Prlic ended their official visit in Turkey. They signed an agreement on co-operation with the Turkish Foreign Ministry. Mr. Prlic said that all misunderstandings with Turkey regarding Cyprus were resolved. Reported by Jusko Bojadzic from Turkey.

World

The Main ICTY Prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte said that Slobodan Milosevic would not gain immunity if he resigns from his current position. Ms. Del Ponte will visit Zagreb this evening.

According to the radio “Free Europe”, 25 Serbs were injured in several incidents in Kosovska Mitrovica.

The Montenegrin police arrested Milan and Ivan Lovric from Belgrade, suspecting that they participated in the attack against Vuk Draskovic in Budva.

The UN Secretary General, Kofi Anan met Israeli officials in Jerusalem. They discussed the Israeli retreat from South Lebanon.

Clashes in Indonesia continue. 152 people were killed, and 160 of them were wounded.

Several people were injured in a bomb explosion in the Catholic part of Belfast.

Sarajevo

About 240 flats in Dobrinja were destroyed in 1992. Refugees cannot go back to their houses, because authorities did nothing so far in reconstruction of these flats. “This settlement is a priority, and we should not leave it without help”, said Damir Hadzic, the Head of the Novi Grad Municipality. The Federation Government granted DEM 500 000 for improvement of agricultural production. This was the first time that the Government decided to help the agriculture reconstruction, Anes Alic confirmed.
