Yugoslavia

Headquarters of the Yugoslav Army announced today that as from 10pm last night they had withdrawn a part of the police and military forces in Kosovo because their operations against, as they say, the illegal Kosovo Liberation Army, had finished in Kosovo and Metohija.

Washington did not alter its position and said that the strikes would not stop until Belgrade complied with all five conditions in full.

International Hague Tribunal started reviewing charges against Yugoslavia pressed by the ten NATO members. Belgrade Government asks the Tribunal to indite the member states for a breach of the International Law, use of force against an independent country and breach of the international conventions. This was confirmed for the OBN by a reporter from Hague, Mirko Klarin.

NATO announced today that bad weather conditions have limited last night strikes. OBN’s reporter from Belgrade, Tatjana Stankovic, reported that an airport in Nis, military radio transmitter in Kosovska Mitrovica and petroleum storage in Pristina had been targeted. Belgrade was not hit last night.

Kosovo – refugees

According to the statements of the Kosovo Albanians, Serbian forces took away several hundred men from the villages in the vicinity of the Pec and Istok towns. This was announced today in Geneva by the spokesman of the UN High Commission.

Zenica

Privatization in the BiH Federation has officially begun. As from today, postmen will start to deliver certificates to the citizens. Agency for Privatization in the Zenica-Doboj Canton today announced a list of objects that would be sold through auctions and tenders.

Sarajevo

A report on signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the BiH Federation Government and the USA Government today in Sarajevo. This would enable continuation of the USA assistance in the process of privatization.

Banja Luka

A piece on the difficult economic situation in the RS caused by the lack of production during NATO strikes. A report on a strike of the “Incel” factory employees came from Banja Luka.

Representatives of the European Council Parliament met the top RS officials today in Banja Luka in order to gather information needed for speeding up the process of the BiH membership in the EC. OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Tatjana Lajsic, sends her report for the TV INFO.

Sarajevo

A report on the implementation of the Sarajevo Declaration and return of the displaced persons and refugees to the town. This year, the return is much slower.

Livno / Brcko

A piece on the return to the Livno Canton and the Brcko Municipality. Until the end of this year, it was planned that 233 families should return to the Rijeke village, near Brcko.

Vares

Problems of returnees to the villages in the Vares Municipality. For the last two years, a quarter of the pre-war population has returned to the Municipality.

Sarajevo

A report on the 133rd anniversary of the State Hospital in Sarajevo, former Military Hospital. Transformation of this hospital to the Canton Hospital is planned.
