News Summary
Klein on war criminals
At a press conference in the UN, UN Special Envoy Jacques Klein stated that the fact that those indicted for war crimes are still free is a charge against the International Community. He added that the fact that Radovan Karadzic is still free is also a charge against the IC. In his opinion, if Croatia and Yugoslavia do not establish democratic governments soon, the issue of how long IC efforts for the renewal of peace in BiH can last would be raised. According to him, until that happens, part of what the IC does in BiH would be problematic, because the IC has no control over it.
