The RS Government held a meeting today. They discussed many issues pertaining to forthcoming RS NA Session. The RS Government discussed who could use the name of BiH ( regarding the issue Ostoja Kremenovic said the point is that the organizations and bodies which are not organized by BiH Constitution cannot use the BiH title). The Government adopted the draft law on accountancy, legislative proposal on amendments of the law on the pay-system which had been urgently put in the agenda, draft law amendments on law on internal affairs which regulates the status of the Police Academy and the report on establishing of the border between Croatia and BiH.

All Parliamentary Commissions made reports which will be presented at the forthcoming RS NA Session on 14th of July;

BiH presidency members talked to NATO Supreme Commander W.Clark on the upcoming Summit of Stability Pact in Sarajevo. Clark says that NATO is firmly determined to continue the SFOR troops mission in BiH. Clark also added that there is a definite need for the number of SFOR troops to be decreased, but it would not have any impact on the peacekeeping mission in BiH. Clark supported the refugee (minority return process ). Commenting on the situation in Yugoslavia Clark stressed it is very encouraging to see that the people of Yugoslavia realize that Milosevic is guilty for all the things that happened in the FRY.

Delegation of Montenegrin Parliament asked the support of BiH for participation of Montenegro at the upcoming Summit of Stability Pact;

KOSOVO and FRY RELATED NEWS

SRT correspondent from Belgrade (Draga Grubic) reports on situation in Kosovo, activities and efforts made by Serb Orthodox Church in preventing further flood of Serbs from Kosovo, possible mass grave in western part of Kosovo with 350 bodies buried. SRT carried the statements of SRS, SPO Rugova, Tachi, monk Sava of Decani and news on numerous requests for Milosevic’s resignation.

Exhumations in Sarajevo Canton resume, 14 bodies of Serb civilians and RS Army were exhumed;

15 Serb houses burned down in Glamoc. IPTF Spokesman Alun Roberts held a press conference in Banja Luka regarding the issue. Roberts said that further investigation pertaining to the issue would be continued, the number of police patrols will be increased in the area, situation in Drvar is calming down and return of Serb refugees to the town, has not been stopped. He also denied the information, carried by some media that local police set check-points in Drvar.

HR Westendorp has written to Mehmed Alagic, the mayor of Sanski Most, expressing his opinion that Alagic should, in line with the legal norms of all European countries, voluntarily resign or suspend his functions, pending the outcome of investigations into his alleged abused of public office. HR Westendorp expects next week’s session of the Sanski Most municipal Assembly to deny Alagic immunity against the judical proceedings currently going on against him.
