The RS Government was in session in Banja Luka today. It was decided that the ratio of the YU dinar to the KM is to be determined according to the real exchange rate. The biggest attention was paid to the newly introduced measures pertaining to the regulation of trade with FRY.

The RS PM Dodik was a guest of the American Congress Foreign Political Committee, where understanding for the Serb position was expressed, i.e. it is untenable that Brcko, either as a district or in any other way, be separated from the territorial composition of the RS. Dodik stated for Srna that the meeting also discussed financial support to the RS.

RS NA Speaker Petar Djokic has still not given an official opinion on the offered mandate, expecting consultations with SPRS and the Coalition Sloga.

At today’s SNS press conference, before a large number of journalists and representatives of international organisations, the president of the party Biljana Plavsic talked about the current economic and political situation in the RS, especially in the context of the two unsuccessful attempts to elect a prime minister designate, including the third one. On the possibility of the new proposed prime minister designate Petar Djokic soon returning the mandate to President Poplasen, Plavsic said: “Let me tell you this, that it is to be expected from a responsible person such Petar Djokic”.

Proposing Petar Djokic for the prime minister designate, President Poplasen did not violate the Constitution but he did not respect the democratic principle to hold consultations with all parliamentary parties either, the spokesperson for SPRS Igor Radojicic stated. Radojicic emphasised that Dodik remains Sloga’s only candidate.
