At yesterday’s session of the RS NA, PM Nominee, Brane Miljus presented his expose and partial composition of the new Government. Miljus talked about his consultations with individual party representatives and made allegations against the current Government. He was warned on several occasions by the NA leadership, as his allegations caused reactions from the deputies. Miljus said that his Government will be a Government of experts. When he was supposed to present the list of members of the new Government, he asked for a recess, in order to discuss his list with OHR representatives. In the continuation, NA Secretary, Momir Malic, read a letter from (Deputy HR, Ambassador) Miguel Arias, addressed to NA Speaker, Petar Djokic, stating that the RS Government should be elected by the RS NA, not the OHR, and that Miljus’ obligation was to have consultations on this issue with the parliamentary parties. After another break, Miljus presented his list, and one of the proposed members of the Government, Novak Solaja, who was named as the Minister of Industry and Technology, informed the NA that no one had consulted him on this proposal.

Editor’s note: Today’s NA was a mirror of political confusion, which we have been witnessing for the last few days, but which we expected to be solved on January 25th. This solution was expected from the PM Designate, but that did not happen. We saw an improvisation, which only embarrassed the highest political institutions of the RS. There is no other way to asses the situation in which the deputies requested the RS President to undo the Gordian knot, by cancelling Miljus’ nomination.

Lazarevic stated that he never discussed this with Miljus, and that he considers this proposal to be an offence. The NA also received press releases from General Marko Lugonja and Muhamed Skelic, who also refused to be members of a rump Government, proposed by Miljus.
