The spokesperson for OSCE, Dardan Gashi, stated that the OSCE would inform at 20:00 tonight the time of announcing the results of the general elections in RS and FBiH. Originally, it was said that the results would be announced today, but the deadline was prolonged, as Gashi explained, due to yesterday’s breakdown on the computers in the OSCE main office in Sarajevo which occurred because of the shortage of electricity.

President Biljana Plavsic talked in Banja Luka today with the British Ambassador to BiH about the recent elections, and providing help for the reconstruction and development of the RS. The government of Great Britain will continue to support RS in future, the Ambassador stated after having talked with President Plavsic. He expressed regret that the elections results had not been announced yet, since that was the issue that he wanted to discuss with President Plavsic.

An RS Government delegation paid an official working visit to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, where they will talk with the hosts, inter alia, about the implementation of the DA, the political situation in the RS and the establishment of closer mutual cooperation.

The members of the BIH CoM at today’s session held in Sarajevo discussed the implementation of the Law on CoM. A part of today’s session was dedicated also to the problems of refugees from Kosovo and Metohija. The Ministers agreed on the text of the instructions for their temporary accommodation.

The presidents of the parties which form the coalition “Sloga” signed in Banja Luka today an Agreement on mutual party cooperation which foresees the joint appearance of SNS, SPS RS, SNSD at all levels of the authority which the general election in RS and FBiH were held for. The agreement is actually the political and party platform which, according to the signers of the Agreement, ensures the continuation of democratic changes in RS.

The explanation of the OSCE that the announcement of election results that was supposed to take place today would be late because of the shortage of electricity is absurd, Miodrag Zivanovoc, president of the Social Liberal party, stated at a press conference held today in Banja Luka. He claimed that the results were known even in July.

The process of internal transformation of the RTVBiH is due to start by the beginning of November, the Sarajevo-based daily “Dnevni Avaz” reports today. The magazine says that the OHR allocated $500,000 to the new administration as the first help in the process of transformation.
