The SDS and SRS candidate running for the president of the RS, Nikola Poplasen, was reprimanded today by the OSCE Election Appeals Sub-commission for violating the pre-election blackout. The OSCE Election Appeals Sub-commission also removed 9 candidates from the SRS list running for delegates in the RS NA and the House of Representatives of the BiH parliamentary assembly. The SRS was punished because the Serbian RTV re-ran an interview with Nikola Poplasen from September 9, which was broadcast by Jagodina-based TV station Palma Plus, on the day of the election blackout, September 11.

The leaders of the “Sloga” coalition denied at today’s press conference that this political block was in crisis and announced the signing of a firm inter-party agreement between SNS, SPRS and SNSD. The president of the coalition “Sloga”, Biljana Plavsic, stressed that the arguments for speculation regarding the unity of the “Sloga” coalition were unfounded. The SNSD president, Dodik, reminded that “Sloga” would comment only on the official election results and that today’s joint attitude was only one more proof that “Sloga” was truly unified.

Ljubisa Savic Mauzer, the former head of the RS Police Administration, stated at today’s press conference his view on the course of the investigative procedure against suspects for the murder of “Beli Vukovi” commander, Srdjan Knezevic. He denied accusations of the IC that he had overstepped his authorisation in the course of the investigation against the 7 people accused of the murder of deputy head of the Srpsko Sarajevo Public Security Centre, Srdjan Knezevic. Savic especially stressed that the IC, certain members of which were, as he said, on the payroll of the Serb mafia, was involved in the event that took place in Pale.

Sarajevo media report that Alija Izetbegovic and Ante Jelavic have won in the run for members of the BiH presidency as candidates of Bosniak and Croat people, respectively. They are most probably the new members of the BiH presidency, Sarajevo-based daily “Dnevni Avaz” reports.
