CD Coalition wants to join RS Government

According to BETA, the CD Coalition addressed an official request to Sloga to participate in the restructured RS government. The CD Coalition requests some ministries, for example, the Ministry for Refugees and Displaced persons, some deputy and assistant of minister positions and the position of director of RS Privatization Direction. SNS President Biljana Plavsic rejected the CD Coalition’s request. Plavsic confirmed that Sloga had officially received the request and said that it “sounds very bad.” Head of the CD Coalition Club in RS Assembly Safet Bico confirmed that on 14 August, leaders of the CD Coalition parties sent an invitation to talks on participation in the RS executive leadership. Bico stated that this was not a request, but an offer to talk. Bico added that the initiative did not define how many and what ministries the CD Coalition wanted to receive. Bico said that he had not participated in the creation of that document.

SDS holds press conference

SDS Presidency Vice-president Dragan Cavic held a press conference in Banja Luka on Monday. Cavic stated that the OHR report on investment in the RS was not same as the RS Government report. According to the International Community report, KM 800 million was invested in the RS before 1 July. The RS Government claims that KM 1.2 million was invested. Speaking on the BiH-Croatian border agreement, Cavic asked RS Assembly Speaker Petar Djokic to inform him of BiH Presidency Chairman Ante Jelavic’s response to of BiH Presidency member Zivko Radisic objections. Cavic was interested if Jelavic had acknowledged Radisic’s objection and if Jelavic sent that into BiH Parliamentary Assembly procedure. If that was not done, the SDS will request an explanation and legal solution. Speaking on public broadcast system restructuring, Cavic criticized SRT saying that SRT has been a non-democratic media and instrument of the Sloga Coalition. Cavic considers that restructuring and new laws on SRT are necessary.
