The RS Government session was postponed today due to technical reasons. The new session is scheduled for Friday.

The RS President and the RS Prime Minister spoke in two separate meetings to the representatives of the Spanish Embassy in BiH. The Spain supports political changes in the RS and considers that it could be the model for the BiH Federation. Spanish Government, EU and IC promised economic assistance to the RS, State Secretary for international affairs of Kingdom of Spain stated. The RS Prime Minister hosted the representatives of American-Israeli company Barack. They spoke about investments of this company in the RS such as construction of hydroelectric power stations on the Drina river.

The RS Prime Minister spoke to British Ambassador to BiH Charles Crawford and to Chargé d’affaires of Norwegian Embassy in BiH about actual political moment in the RS. British diplomat informed the RS Prime Minister about the intention of the UK Government to allocate DEM 300 000 for procurement of office supplies to the members of the RS Government. Norwegian diplomat promised the assistance of the Norwegian Government intended for normalization of life in the RS.

UK Special Envoy for the Balkans Tony Lloyd arrived to Belgrade and spoke to Serbian President Milan Milutinovic. He is expected to meet the Federal Defense Minister Zivadin Jovanovic.

Ibrahim Rugova, leader of Kosovo Albanians stated today that the aim of so called Liberation Army of Kosovo was political independence of Kosovo not autonomy within Serbia and Yugoslavia. The Serbian Information Minister Radmila Milentijevic stated that condition for dialog with Kosovo Albanians was giving up the idea of independence of Kosovo. The standpoint of our Government is that talks are done in Serbia, in line with the Constitution of Serbia, Serbian Information Minister stated.

The BiH Presidency session did not take place today in Lukavica. It was canceled as some of the members of the BiH Presidency failed to come.

NATO General Secretary Javier Solana and NATO commander for Europe Wesley Clark will pay official visit to the RS tomorrow. They are expected to hold talks with the RS President and the RS Prime Minister and to visit Brcko.

Deputy HR to BiH Jacques Klein with assistants visited Rogatica and Sokolac today. He visited the high school in the Municipality of Rogatica. At the press conference Deputy HR stated that the assistance for reconstruction of the high school, infrastructure and roads should be allocated to that municipality. He reminded of fact that ECU 100 000 had already been allocated to the RS for payment of unpaid wages to teachers and employees in the healthcare and payment of pensions. He stated that the RS leadership should also help and visit that municipality.

A meeting of the Commission of NA for monitoring the activities of institutions in field of defense and internal affairs took place in Bijeljina today. This was a preliminary meeting for the 4th session of the RS National Assembly scheduled for March 14.
