Poplasen statement to Belgrade newspaper Vecernje Novosti
Dismissed RS President Nikola Poplasen gave an interview to Belgrade newspaper Vecernje Novosti, in which he states that he would be ready to step down if an RS Government would be adopted according to election results. He would agree that Mirko Sarovic perform the duty in a constitutive manner. Poplasen rejected the possibility of dismissing the RS National Assembly, because that institution should support the BiH Presidency Member Zivko Radisic’s rejection of accusations made by BiH Presidency Member Alija Izetbegovic to the ICTY against Yugoslavia.
