News Summary

Haselock colonial conqueror – Vasic

RS Information Minister Rajko Vasic sent a letter to Deputy High Representative for Media Simon Haselock where he accuses him of behaving like a colonial conqueror. Vasic believes that Haselock has admitted there is centralization and unitarianism in the BiH media by stating that the RS National Assembly has no authority to discuss the BiH Public Broadcast Service. He has also admitted depriving entities of authority and revision of the Dayton Agreement. Vasic assessed Haselock’s statement that two representatives in the Establishment Board are going to protect interests of the BiH nations as even more dangerous, because the nations would be excluded from the works in the authority of the media. Vasic thinks that Haselock should not try to deny these arguments because he would only drag himself and the OHR deeper into the mud of improvised decrees. He should instead explain why the Establishment Board should engage in the debts of the phantom RTV BiH and where all that big money went, as well as the money that the International Community gave for a failed project of OBN. Regarding the RS authorities and the attitude, which, according to Haselock, opposes Vasic’s, he should follow the statements of RS politicians more closely. Vasic concludes that as far as he has followed the OHR, Alexandra Stiglmayer does not stand behind Haselock.
