New York Declaration misinterpreted – Radisic

In an interview for Slobodna Bosna, BiH Presidency Member Zivko Radisic stated that the New York Declaration has been misinterpreted, because conference participants were not presented with the right information in time. He denied speculation that they had agreed to common BiH passports. Radisic added that nothing had been agreed with regard to passports, but only that they expressed readiness to raise the issue and seek solutions based on the experience of modern countries. He added that the BiH Presidency has made certain progress in terms of the BiH common border service, especially with regard to offers presented by High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch. Radisic noted that the border service project has not been contested since only one question remains – how to carry it out. He assessed that the issue required consensus so that no BiH people or entity would be jeopardized.

New York Declaration does not mean disappearance of RS – Dodik

In an interview for Radio B 92, RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik stated that the New York Declaration does not mean the disappearance of the RS. He added that the IC exaggerates in imposing certain solutions and that solutions imposed by the OHR, which have not passed procedure from entities to joint bodies, are of an interim character. Dodik said that no talks were held on the issue of a joint BiH Army, but only discussion on a unit that would join UN peacekeeping forces, which would include one unit from the RS. According to him, this does not represent a joint BiH Army. He added that, according to the Dayton Agreement, all foreign policies should be decided at the BiH state level, including the border service project. Dodik pointed that the issue of common passports was the design of Bosniaks, who wanted to build it into the New York Declaration. He concluded that RS representatives oppose these changes and that this had been addressed at a session of the RS Government.

Bosniak representatives in HN Canton and Mostar say relations with OHR Mostar should remain frozen

According to ONASA, Bosniak representatives in HN Canton and Mostar concluded that relations with the OHR Mostar Regional Office should remain frozen due to the obvious inefficiency of that office. They believe that assistance in resolving certain issues, especially the problem of Mostar’s High School, should be carried out by the OHR in Sarajevo. Bosniaks said cooperation should be continued with the OHR Regional Office in the implementation of election results, as well as cooperation with the international organizations dealing with property laws.
