News Summary
Sloga holds session on its work and current situation in RS
The Sloga Coalition held a session in Banja Luka on Tuesday where SPRS President and Sloga Presidency Chairman Zivko Radisic stated that they would not give up on the platform that has been protecting the interests of RS citizens. Radisic added that Sloga would transfer all positive experiences into operative and constructive activities in the RS and BiH institutions. SNS President Biljana Plavsic stated that Sloga was united, adding that they would intensify the party infrastructure and ensure conditions for its work on the municipal level. SNSD President Milorad Dodik considers that different views are normal in a democratic society, but that does not mean that Sloga is not united or that any party will leave the Coalition. Dodik is ready to deny all claims presented by malevolent media on the RS’s destruction and that they oppose revision of the Dayton Peace Agreement. According to Dodik, the New York Declaration does not define joint BiH passports, but a database on the BiH level. Speaking of the BiH border service, Dodik stated that the Dayton Agreement defined BiH as a state with international borders.

OSCE holds press conference
OSCE spokesperson Tanya Domi held a press conference in Sarajevo on Tuesday where she announced that the Election Appeals Sub-commission had rejected complaints from the SRS RS and RS Serb Party on registration and taking part in municipal elections. Domi added that complaints from the Bosnian Peasant’s Party, Local Political Initiative, Democratic Party of Progress and independent candidate Lazar Dedijer were also rejected. The EASC has decided that Velimir Matic will be the main representative of the United Croat Party of Right until the court makes a decision. In the regional report on Southeast Europe, Head of the OSCE Mission to BiH Robert Barry wrote that many politicians have been part of the former political system. They cooperate with representatives of organized crime and former secret services. Barry believes that the International Community can use problems on corruption and conflict of interests for uniting those democratic forces that want to make economic reforms.

IMC decision on Erotel
On 31 October, the Independent Media Commission offered a temporary license to Erotel, authorizing the station to use 11 transmitters. According to the IMC decision, Erotel should have stopped broadcasting on the other frequencies, which the station rejected. The IMC has been trying to contact Erotel, but without success. On 15 November, the IMC ordered Erotel to stop all broadcasting operations, however, Erotel has ignored the IMC decision and continued to broadcast illegally. According to Annex 10 of the Dayton Agreement, the IMC has requested SFOR‘s assistance in implementing the decision. SFOR will provide technical, logistic and security assistance, which is in accordance to standard IMC procedure.
