News Summary
Petritsch accepts Izetbegovic explanation
High Representative Wolfgang Petritsch accepted the explanation of BiH Presidency Member Alija Izetbegovic regarding his statement on the eviction of refugees and displaced persons. Petritsch asked all BiH officials to effectively implement property laws and praised the work of the Sarajevo justice system. The International Community fully supports the implementation of property laws.

IMC decision on TV BiH
IMC General Director Krister Thelin ordered RTV BiH to shut down operations on all transmitters opened in addition to those previously agreed to by the IMC in February 1999. RTV BiH is also to pay a fine of KM 1,000 for violating the High Representative’s moratorium on issuing new frequencies for broadcast purposes.
