News Summary

Nikola Spiric holds press conference

BiH Parliament House of Representatives deputy Nikola Spiric held a press conference in Banja Luka. He considers that the increased number of ministries in the BiH Council of Ministers, as proposed in the draft BiH Council of Ministers law, is not in accordance with the BiH Constitution. Spiric said that the BiH Council Ministers with such an enlarged structure would remind one, in many ways, of a BiH Government. He added that the proposed treasury ministry is especially controversial because, in practice, it would work like a finance ministry. Spiric concluded by saying that BiH could not enter European integration without first adopting a Law on the BiH Council of Ministers and a BiH permanent election law.
