According to unofficial results, SDP-HSLS Coalition winning in nine of ten electoral units
According to unofficial results announced by the Croatian Election Commission at a press conference, the SDP-HSLS Coalition is ahead in nine of ten electoral units in Croatia. Although the public is still waiting for the final results of the Croatian parliamentary elections, the SDP-HSLS Coalition is considered to be the winner. The results of Diaspora voting are coming in late and, including BiH, makes up 90% of the voting public. These ballots have not been counted. President of the Croatian Social Democratic Party Ivica Racan stated that they are aware of the fact that these results are very good indicators, but they want to be little more careful in making conclusions. On the other hand, the HDZ is not hiding its disappointment and Mate Granic commented that the HDZ will now be a very strong opposition in coming times.

Izetbegovic comments on results of parliamentary elections in Croatia for Dnevni Avaz
Commenting on the results of the Croatian parliamentary elections in interview for Wednesday’s issue of Dnevni Avaz, BiH Presidency Member Alija Izetbegovic stated that he justifiably expects an essential change of the Croatian policy towards BiH. Izetbegovic hopes that the arrival of the opposition will open a new era of relations between BiH and Croatia, with more mutual respect and true cooperation for the well being of both countries. The results of the Croatian elections will have a certain influence on the mood of the Croat nation by decreasing the HDZ BiH rating.

HDZ defeat is consequence of HDZ foreign policy – SDA
SDA Vice president Halid Genjac stated that the reasons for the HDZ defeat are direct or indirect consequences of the wrong foreign policy led by the HDZ, especially towards BiH. He stated that he is convinced that this mistake will not be repeated by new Croatian Government and that they will change the policy towards BiH and respect the existence of BiH as a country.

4,000 candidates for local elections in question – OSCE Banja Luka
An OSCE Banja Luka spokesperson stated at a press conference that 25,000 candidates have registered for the upcoming local elections and that the names of 4,000 candidates are being questioned, which means that their names will be rechecked.
