Late Night Newscast Summary:

Ivan Andabak main suspect in murder of Jozo Leutar, secret multiethnic team carried out investigation, arrest – UN’s Klein (2:26)

  • UN Head of Mission to BiH Jacques Paul Klein issued a press release on Tuesday concerning the Jozo Leutar case. According to the release, Klein said he was pleased to inform that officials of the BiH Federation Interior Ministry did in recent weeks apprehended a number of suspects who had planned and carried out terrorist acts, including the assassination of Jozo Leutar. The apprehended persons include Dominik Ilijasevic, Zoran Basic and Zeljko Cosic. Klein adds that the IPTF supervised all these apprehensions, and that they were carried out in a professional and legal manner.

In addition, Klein says that the Croatian Government was aware of the investigation and it, on its part, arrested former HVO officer Ivan Andabak, who is the principal suspect in the assassination of Jozo Leutar, the former BiH Federation Deputy Interior Minister. According to Klein, the investigation had been obstructed by certain senior BiH Croat officials in the BiH Federation Interior Ministry, and elsewhere as well. Due to such continued obstructions to justice by certain HDZ officials, this investigation was carried out in top secret by a multiethnic judicial team supported and approved by the international community, Klein concluded.
