Momcilo Krajisnik pled as not guilty before the Hague Tribunal. The main prosecutor in this case is Carla Del Ponte. The next hearing will take place on 26th May. Krajisnik has not chosen his defence layer yet. Reported by Vjera Bogati from the Hague.
This evenings guest in TV INFO was Robert Barry, the Head of the OSCE mission in Sarajevo. A link was organised with the OBN affiliate, ATV Banja Luka, and they participated in the conversation. Pejo Gasparevic from Mostar asked Barry a few questions as well. Barry did not want to premeditate anything. He said that incidents are possible in places such as Bijeljina, Ugljevik and Zvornik, because the Radical Party is active there. But the local authorities co-operate with the OSCE, he added. As for the possible boycott, Barry said that it wouldn’t influence the elections and added that he believes that the turnout will be good. The OSCE needs a new mandate for organisation of general elections that are supposed to take place in October, said Barry.

The OHR experts made a draft Law on the wood land, after the previous Law had been rejected at the Parliament. The Law, among others, regulates the issue of uncontrolled felling of trees. The Federal Minister, Ahmed Smajic, asked the High Representative, Wolfgang Petritsch to immediately proclaim the Law as valid. The Law treats the three aspects: social, economic and ecological. Employees of the department store “Sarajka” have not received their salaries for two years, but only a compensation in goods. There are several offers for privatisation. The famous company “Beneton” is also interested. However, the Privatisation Agency has not published a tender for privatisation of this facility yet. Reported by Slobodan Maksimovic.

Users of mobile phones in the RS can use them in Serbia as well now. The company “Mobilna telefonija” from Banja Luka announced signing of contracts with Croatian partner, and partners from Montenegro and the Federation of B&H. Reported by Sanela Zivkovic from Banja Luka.
