The Hague

Association “Mothers of Srebrenica and Podrinje” raised charges against 17 high international officials, UN leaders and Serb officials in front of the Hague Tribunal because of the fall of Srebrenica. Milosevic, Karadjic and Mladic are on the list. The US lawyer representing “Mothers of Srebrenica” said that people from the list knew exactly what they were doing and that they handed over Srebrenica on purpose in order to provide division of BiH in Dayton, Vjera Bogati confirmed for OBN from Hague.

Sarajevo

A piece on the international round table meeting held in Sarajevo today on the topic “Truth and Reconciliation”. It was said that the year 2000 was the last chance for reconciliation of peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina. OBN reporter, Sanjin Beciragic, produced a report on the Sarajevo divided residential quarter, Dobrinja. A poll made on the streets of this residential quarter on what inhabitants think about reconciliation in BiH was presented.

Interview with Richard Goldstone

The ex Prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal and the current Constitutional Court Judge in South Africa, Richard Goldstone, think that the priority for the Commission for Truth and Reconciliation is gathering of witnesses’ statements on all sides of conflict on the ex-Yugoslavia territory. A half-an hour interview with Richard Goldstone, produced by OBN journalist, Duska Jurisic, will be broadcast on Wednesday night on OBN.

Sarajevo

Lately, there were some rumors that high officials of the HDZ party in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jadranko Prlic and Neven Tomic, have decided to establish a new political party, allegedly called “Hrvatska narodna zajednica”. Member of the HDZ party Presidency in BiH, Neven Tomic, said that he wanted to stay in the HDZ party but that the party should have a new image. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Damir Kaletovic.

Austria

An item on the current political situation in Austria was presented. The new coalition government consisted of conservatives and extreme right-wing representatives took an oath today while clashes between police and more than 2,000 protesters were taking place in front of the building. The report was produced by OBN journalist, Zeljka Lekic.

Guest of TV INFO

The guest of TV INFO and presenters, Danijela Bozic and Mujo Delibegovic, was Kemal Kurspahic, BiH well-known journalist currently in the USA. Kemal Kurspahic was asked to comment the current presidential race in the USA and who is going to be a candidate of the Republican Party.

World

During his visit to the Headquarters of the UN in New York, the President of the Hague Tribunal asked for arresting of Slobodan Milosevic, Radovan Karadjic and Ratko Mladic. He expressed his regret that these and other 43 individuals indicted for war crimes were still free. During his first visit to the Hague Tribunal, Montenegrin Prime Minister, Filip Vujanovic, said that Montenegro wanted to cooperate with the Tribunal in arresting individuals indicted for war crimes in the ex-Yugoslavia territory. Last night, three Albanians were killed in Kosovo. The report on these and other current events in the world was produced by OBN journalist, Zeljka Lekic.

Banja Luka

Approximately 145,000 unemployed people have been recorded in the RS. Some 91,000 pensioners have been receiving pension payments less than 100 DEM. Because of difficult economic situation, the RS Government adopted a program of social security and preventing of black market activities, OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Tatjana Lajsic, confirmed.

This was followed by a piece on the session of the General Council of the Association of the RS Syndicates held in Banja Luka today. The Council stressed the difficulties workers in the RS were facing and if the issue was not solved the idea on starting up a general strike in the RS will be initiated. A piece on the different tax rates in the BiH Federation and the RS. Because of the lower taxes in the RS, many companies from BiH have gotten their registration in the RS and thus avoid paying the tax to the BiH Federation. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Amarildo Gutic.

Mostar

Four individuals missed in the Mostar area in a month and a half. Two missing individuals, Sidika Feriz and Mario Lesko were found dead. The cause of death was not officially announced, OBN reporter from the are, Sinisa Jokic, confirmed. Police claim that there were no connection between the cases.
