The Parliament postponed the session at which they should discuss the new Chairman of the Council of Ministers. The session should take place on 6th of June. “Mr Izetbegovic and Mr Jelavic are part of this decision, and they have to share responsibility for their choice”, said Mr Wolfgang Petritsch, the High Representative. Banja Luka
The 10th session of the RS Assembly continued today. Delegates discussed the 7 remaining issues on the agenda. The RS Government withdrew their legislative proposal for financing parties in this entity from the RS budget. OBN reporters from ATV Banja Luka weren’t allowed to record the session.
The Hague
The RS Prime Minister, Milorad Dodik visited the Hague. He talked to the main ICTY Prosecutor, Carla Del Ponte about co-operation between the RS Government and the Tribunal. Dodik especially advocated strengthening of the Tribunal’s jurisdiction in the area of former Yugoslavia and emphasised the importance of the individual responsibility for crimes.

Leaders of three Serbian opposition parties, who arrived in Moscow yesterday, confirmed that they would meet the Russian Prime Minister, Igor Ivanov.
Students of Belgrade University organised several protests against the current regime.
3 Serbs were killed in an incident which took place last night in the village of Cernica, 60km away from Pristina, KFOR announced.
The Summit of the EU and Russia took place in Moscow. The Russian President said that an investigation on war crimes in Cecenia was underway.

In the second round of presidential elections in Peru, the President Alberto Fujimori won more than 50% of votes. Thousands of citizens protested in Lima, demanding Fujimori’s resignation and new elections.

The B&H Ambassador in Croatia, Hasan Muratovic met the Croatian Foreign Ministry representatives today. They discussed the possibility that B&H citizens enter Croatia only with their ID’s. The decision would last until the end of the tourist season. Croatia has already started applying such a system with Slovenia. The B&H Foreign Ministry service for international relations doesn’t have any information about this. The report was produced by OBN reporter Sanjin Beciragic.

Miners of the “Kreka” mine from Durdevik met the Federal authorities today. After the discussion, they cancelled their strike that had been announced for the 1st of June. They agreed on payment of salaries for March and April. Discussion on their other requests will continue tomorrow. The report was produced by Amarildo Gutic.

A shell was thrown at the house of Ismet Kurtovic in Capljina. The temporary Bosniac returnees’ centre was placed in the house. The police investigation in Capljina and IPTF is underway.
Sarajevo
A fire took place at the Clinical Centre in Sarajevo last night. 19 patients were evacuated. Causes of the fire are still unknown. Reported by Sevko Bajic.
Kiseljak
A session of the municipal council in Busovaca took place today. The SDP member, Refik Lusija won the majority of votes as the new Head of the municipality. HDZ delegates were not satisfied with such an outcome, and they refused to attend the session to the end. They feel that the Municipality Head should be a Croat, because they are the majority nation in Busovaca.
Mostar
The Croat National Union (HNZ) B&H will probably enter a coalition with the HSS, because they realised that this would be more efficient, and they would win a much larger number of votes at the elections in this way. The parties will regulate their relations at a session which should take place on Wednesday.

A seminar “Challenge of Women’s Business in 2000” started in Sarajevo today. Associations of businesswomen from Italy and the EU organised the seminar. Reported by Mirna Sadikovic.
