Banja Luka / Sarajevo

A report on the progress of the “Stop Smuggling” action in Sarajevo and Banja Luka. Officials in both entities are satisfied with the results, OBN reporter from Sarajevo, Adis Saranovic, and from Banja Luka, Valentina Knezevic, confirmed.

This was followed by a report on the illegal selling of cigarettes on the streets of Banja Luka. The customs inspection began the action of confiscating cigarettes yesterday.

Sarajevo

A report on the arrest of the “Alemko Company” owner and the biggest debtor of the “SAB” Bank, Alemko Nuhanovic, by the police of the Sarajevo Canton Interior Ministry. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Amarildo Gutic.

This was followed by a piece on the protection taxes in BiH gathered during this year and worth between 50 and 60 million DEM. OBN reporter, Damir Kaletovic, researched where the money had been spent because the governments of BiH entities did not submit reports on spending the funds.

Mostar

The investigation team of the International Hague Tribunal left BiH yesterday. The team of four from the Hague spent 11 days in the Hercegovina-Neretva Canton. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Vedran Persic.

Turkey

A piece on the request which Turkey will make to BiH regarding information about Husein Engin, arrested near Kiseljak, accused for possessing a large amount of weapons. The report was produced by OBN reporter from Istanbul, Josko Bojadzic.

This was followed by a poll made on the streets of Zenica and Sarajevo about a recent event when the terrorist, Mehrez Aoudouni, was arrested at Istanbul airport carrying a BiH passport. A report on BiH citizenship and judiciary system in BiH followed.

Banja Luka

The RS Vice President, Mirko Sarovic, said he did not believe in the premature presidential elections, OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Dragan Galic, confirmed. Sarovic added that he did not refuse the post of the RS President although the Coalition “Sloga” claimed he did.

World

Reports on the current events in Chechenia, East Timor, Indonesia, India and Taiwan were presented. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Zeljka Lekic. This was followed by reports on the current events in Kosovo and Serbia, produced by Gordana Frimel.

Banja Luka

Coordinator of the Association for Changes in Serbia, Vladan Batic, visited Banja Luka today. He talked about necessary changes which should be made in Serbia.

Sarajevo

A report on the closing evening of the second festival of small and alternative theatres “Teatarfest”. The participants will be presented with awards tonight.

Sport

A report on the local football matches was followed by reports on international tennis and Formula One.
