Sarajevo

The Representative House of the BiH Parliament asked from the BiH Council of Ministers analysis of its activities for the previous period, and a report on the changes and annexes of the Council of Ministers Law which should be delivered by the end of October. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Damir Kaletovic.

This was followed by a report on the special session of the BiH Federation Parliament where the representatives discussed vital national interests instead of laws, OBN reporter, Adis Saranovic, confirmed. However, the representatives adopted laws on special tax for alcohol, beer, cigarettes and oil derivatives.

A piece on the initiative of the US Congress to establish an international team of investigators to fight corruption in BiH was produced by OBN reporters, Anes Alic and Amarildo Gutic.

Topic of this TV INFO was: Who will pay engagement of the US lawyers who should investigate allegations from The New York Times about corruption in BiH, and did the Prime Minister of the Federal Government agreed the engagement of the lawyers together with other officials of the government?

World

A report on the arrest of a terrorist at the Istanbul airport was followed by reports on another explosion in Moscow, current situation in East Timor and meeting between the Israeli and Palestinian heads. Reports on the European Commission, Algeria, hurricane in the USA and flood in China followed. The report was produced by OBN journalist, Zeljka Lekic.

This was followed by a piece on the current situation in Kosovo, produced by OBN journalist Gordana Frimel. Two groups of forensics and other experts of FBI discovered mass graves with approximately 200 bodies, victims of the Serbian terror.

Banja Luka

At the routine meeting held between the SFOR Commander in BiH, General Montgomery Meigs, and the RS Minister of Defence, Manojlo Milovanovic, in Banja Luka today, participants discussed issues of de-mining program and preparations for military drill. The report was produced by OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Tatjana Lajsic.

Drvar

SFOR and the High Representative Office ordered the construction of the new “Prva gardijska brigada” military barracks in Drvar to stop for this could harm process of return to this municipality. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Amarildo Gutic.

Mostar

A report on today’s meeting held between the Governor of the BiH Central Bank, Peter Nicholl, and representatives of the commercial banks. The main issue discussed at the meeting was changes of the payment operation system in the BiH Federation which will be implemented as from October this year, Mirsad Behram reported from Mostar.

This was followed by a report on the official handing over of the Mostar airport Ortijes to the town of Mostar authorities.
