The Special US Envoy for economic issues, Richard Sclar and representatives of the International Community visited B&H. They met advisers of the B&H Presidency members and representatives of the RS Assembly. Representatives of the International Community are worried about economies in the RS and the Federation. They were not satisfied with slow implementation of the economic reform. Amarildo Gutic produced the report.

RS economists feel that B&H economy is in danger of collapse, unless the urgent economic reform takes place in both entities. Reported by Suzana Vukcevic.
Sarajevo
Accounts of about 11 000 enterprises in the Federation have been blocked. Private enterprises purchase goods for cash, which is illegal. About 50 such companies re-registered and opened new accounts last year, Anes Alic confirmed.
Banja Luka
The RS Government decided to reduce pensions by 40%. The Association of pensioners in the RS announced protests from 21-25 August, demanding urgent cancellation of the decision. Pensioners in Zvornik and Srbinje announce that they will invite RS pensioners and their families to boycott the forthcoming elections in November. Suzana Vukcevic produced the report.

The B&H Presidency member, Zivko Radisic organised a press conference today, in order to express his viewpoints on current political situation in B&H. He refused any idea about formation of a joint B&H Army. Radisic proposed that the RS Assembly discusses this issue. He accused the RS Prime Minister Dodik of illegal appointment of the Board and replacement of the Director of “Elektroprivreda”, Slobodan Mrdic. Reported by Dragan Stanimirovic.

54 parties, coalitions and independent candidates will participate in the elections. The OSCE determined numbers of parties on voting papers, Slobodan Maksimovic confirmed.
Zvornik
First groups of refugees returned to Kozluk and Skocic, in Zvornik municipality. There were no incidents reported. Local police and representatives of international organisations were present on the spot.

Pre-war citizens of Bistrica, near Gacko returned to their destroyed houses. The Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and UNHCR delivered them some aid, Enes Ratkusic confirmed.
