Zenica

Funeral of 43 persons who died in yesterday’s tragic accident near Kakanj will take place tomorrow. Health condition of the injured, who were transported to the Zenica hospital has been stabilised. Rescue teams are still searching for one missing person who was in the bus. They suppose that the body floated down the river Bosna. The report was produced by Nela Kacmarcik.

At least 20 people died and more than 560 were injured in last night’s explosion in Holland.

About 12 people died in Cairo, when a building collapsed in the city centre.

Israeli soldiers wounded 15 Palestinians, including one child during clashes between Palestinian protestors and Israeli forces. The protestors demanded the release of their co-citizens from Israeli prisons.

Sarajevo

The announced division of PTT into two systems, and unification of the B&H and Herceg Bosna post offices have been postponed. Prices of PTT services in B&H are the highest in Europe. International community have tried to impose the system of transparent business transactions in “Elektroprivreda” for a long time. However, foreigners are lost in B&H businessmen’ secret ways of gaining profit. OBN journalist, Amarildo Gutic, analysed the current situation.

Mostar

Mostar suburbs were floated in December last year, because of intensive rain. There are suspicions that people were the main culprits for this. The Mostar City Council sued both B&H “Elektroprivreda” and “Elektroprivreda” of Herceg Bosna, demanding the compensation for citizens. The report was produced by Anes Alic.

Sarajevo

The Regional De-mining Group was founded in B&H last week. International officials feel that all de-mining activities should be integrated in civil protection. “We are worried because the international support in the de-mining process is insufficient”, said Alpo Rusi, the Stability Pact Deputy Special Co-ordinator. An international conference for invalids called “Independent life” ended in Banja Luka today. One of the themes was participation of invalids in everyday life.
