Taiwan

79 bodies have been recovered so far from a Singapore plane which crashed in Taiwan last night. Several people died in strong storms in Taiwan. Reported by Gordana Frimel.

Banja Luka

According to the Striking Board, 85% of health institutions in the RS started a strike this morning. The Union announced that the strike would go on, until the money for August salaries arrives to bank accounts of the health institutions, Biljana Arsic reported.

Banja Luka

The RS Government organised a session today in Banja Luka. They discussed implementation of the RS budget. Several provisions were adopted. The Government decided to fulfil demands of employees of the RS Railways, and demanded that they cancel the strike. Tatjana Lajsic produced the report.

Sarajevo

After five days of employees’ protests, no solution was found for the company “TP Marketi”. Employees have not received 18 monthly salaries. Many of them left today’s protest, because the Union did not announce beginning of a general strike. “TP Marketi” should be sold within the big privatisation. Reported by Amarildo Gutic.

Sarajevo

The new Director of the “D.O.O. Droga Sarajevo” company, Nerman Salman had several objections to yesterday’s report of OBN on privatisation of the company “Konzum”. Only one of the objections was correct: the buyer did not pay DM 1,5 million, as mentioned in the report, but DM 2,1 million. Amarildo Gutic produced the report.

Novi Travnik

The German company “Natursteinwerk” and the company “IGM” from Novi Travnik signed a DM 7,5 million-worth contract on joint investments today. A new, joint company for stone manufacturing will be founded in Novi Travnik. The company will have 60 employees in the beginning, and the number should increase. Reported by Ana Drmac.

World

5 Palestinians and two Israelis died in today’s clashes in Gaza. The German Chancellor, Gerhard Schreder met the Palestinian Leader, Yasser Arafat in Gaza. Mr. Arafat demanded increased EU participation in peace negotiations for the Middle East.

The UN Assembly adopted a resolution made by North and South Korea, supporting the peace process and possible unification of the Korea peninsula.

The UN Security Council granted the Yugoslav request for reception of this country to the UN.

Tuzla

Many patients from B&H go to India for a kidney transplantation. “We do not have any valid documents on such transplantation’s or the donors. I am telling you this because we have numerous problems here, in post-transplantation period”, said dr. Senad Trnacevic at the Clinical Centre in Tuzla. Dragana Krstanovic produced the report.

Mostar

International organisations held a press conference in Mostar today. It was announced that, according to some reports, certain opposition posters were removed under police protection in West Herzegovina. “We are investigating that at the moment. We call for all citizens who witnessed similar incidents, to report it to the IPTF immediately”, said the UN Spokesman in Mostar, Stefo Lehmann. Reported by Denis Vila.

All Saints Day was marked today in the world. Cardinal Vinko Puljic performed the Holy Mass in “Sveti Josip” graveyard in Sarajevo today. Sevko Bajic produced the report.
