Statement by the High Representative
PRESS STATEMENT by the High Representative, Carlos Westendorp Sarajevo, 23 December 1997 The High Representative issued the following statement today; "I acknowledge the intention of President Plavsic to ensure compliance with the RS constitutional timeline by convening the RS Parliamentary session on the 27th of December 1997.

Press Release on Common Currency
The Bonn Peace Implementation Conference demanded that by 20 December, the competent authorities in BiH, submit to the printer agreed designs for the common currency coupons and announce the time-table for their introduction.

Brcko Supervisor met with RS Prime Minister Klickovic

Supervisor for Brcko, Robert Farrand issues an order on Privatization
Privatisation in the area of Brcko Municipality which is under the Supervision of International Community has been stopped from today. Supervisor for Brcko Robert W. Farrand has taken this step in order to protect ordinary citizens of RS since the current RS legislation on privatisation lacks a sound technical framework.

Brcko Bridge
Contrary to reports in the world press, the situation at the Brcko Bridge is normal. Private and commercial traffic is crossing regularly.
