After two days of discussion in Cologne, the G8 Foreign Ministers today reached agreement on a draft resolution of the UN SC which should enable a peaceful and political solution to the crisis in Kosovo and Metohija. (Report on the meeting)

NATO briefing: The spokesperson for the Western Alliance stressed that, in the forthcoming days, NATO would continue to pressure Belgrade until signs of withdrawal become evident. Shea said that, according to the information NATO has, 50 % of refugees want to return immediately to Kosovo.
General Jertz said that the fighting between the Yugoslav Army and KLA members continues, especially in the western part of Kosovo.
