Newly elected B&H Presidency members talked in separate meetings with the President of Finland in Sarajevo. After the meetings there were no press statements.

Zivko Radisic talked with Elizabeth Rehn in the UN Headquarters in Sarajevo. Elizabeth Rehn talked with the other two B&H Presidency members as well, but there were no press statements. However, official inauguration of the Presidency is announced for the end of the week when the final results are to be published.

A delegation from the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Banja Luka today. The RS Minister for Refugees and Luxembourg Foreign Affairs Secretary talked about implementation of the Dayton Agreement, especially Annex 7 of the Agreement. It was agreed that future financial aid is to be equally divided between the RS and Federation of B&H.

Ostoja Knezevic, SNS Vice President, said at a press conference that he was not pleased with the election results. “We are not pleased with the election results, for we had expected our candidate for the RS President, Biljana Plavsic, to win” Knezevic said. Branislav Lolic, member of the SNS Main Board, said it was important that the two sides, coalition “Sloga” and coalition SDS-SRS, were prepared to cooperate in the interest of political stability in the RS.

Branko Dokic, SNSD Vice President, said at a press conference that the SNSD was pleased with the election results, which are better than at the previous elections. “SNSD will contribute to the opening up of the RS to the world. Milorad Dodik had a significant role in that, and I hope that Nikola Poplasen will bear it in mind in the forthcoming negotiations regarding the PM candidate”.- Dokic said.
