Federation Government held a session in Mostar, and adopted the Draft Law on Amendments on the Law on Privatisation of Enterprises and the Report of the Privatisation Agency in BiH Federation of preparations and implementation of this process.

Croat refugees from Brcko held a meeting in Brcko-Ravne municipality. BiH Presidency member Zubak was also present at the meeting as well as the Brcko Supervisor Farrand and Cardinal Vinko Puljic. Farrand said that only 25 families returned to their homes, out of 1242, as many applications were approved, and appealed on expellees to use 300 signed contracts on house reconstruction and to return to their homes.

Over 300 Kosovo refugees in Sarajevo were accommodated in the former building of the Coca-Cola factory in Hadzici. Kosovo refugees thanked CoM Co-chairman Silajdzic for this temporary solution, but said that their status is still not resolved.

Serbian forces in Kosovo continued heavy offensive. The heaviest fighting was reported in triangle Kosovska Mitrovica-Podujevo-Vucitrn, where numerous civilians are surrounded.

US Congress House of Representatives adopted the resolution, which calls FRY President Milosevic to stand a trial for crimes against humanity.

Demonstrations in Albania continued today with peaceful protests. 8 persons were killed and about 80 injured in disorders that shook Tirana in the past several days.

BiH Presidency President Izetbegovic addressed a letter to HR Westendorp. In his letter, Izetbegovic complained on Westendorp’s demand to broadcast a special programme on September 11 on corruption in the BiH Federation, saying that it represents a severe violation of electoral blackout. Izetbegovic says that the main guest in the programme was an opposition leader who was given the possibility to bring up untruths and half-truths about authorities and the governing party during the blackout. Izetbegovic also said that viewers were suggested in a casual manner that thievery, family relations and war profiteers are ruling in the Federation, and are connected to the current authorities.

Herzegovina/Neretva Canton Vice-Governor Leho addressed a letter to Westendorp, on his decision to prolong the deadline for apartment retrieval. Leho said that deadlines were prolonged for only one category of citizens, and are not related to those who lost their apartments due to court sentences in accordance with the Law on housing relations. Leho asked Westendorp to take necessary steps either for equalising of deadlines for both of these categories or to pass the changes of the law, which would equate procedures for apartment retrieval.

International Organisations held a press conference in Mostar. OHR regional head Sir Martin Garrod spoke about prolongation of deadlines for apartment retrieval, saying that this will enable that everyone’s right is not endangered. OSCE regional office Director Foley said that that counting of ballots is still in procedure and that some parties make big mistake announcing their win before the official results are published. Foley also of reacted to the statement HDZ Vice-President Brajkovic, who said that the war in Bosnia is not over yet. Foley condemned this remark and said that many other international representatives will also condemn it.

Persons arrested for car-bomb attack on September 18 last year were convicted today on 10, 8 and 6 years imprisonment for endangering of general safety of citizens. Back then, 11 Bosniaks were arrested along with 7 foreign citizens.
