Brcko

The Brcko Supervisor, Ambassador Gary Mathews met the RS and B&H delegations. Theme of the discussion was co-operation between entities and the Brcko District. An agreement on implementation of entity obligations was signed, Slobodanka Radojkovic reported.

Tuzla

The Tuzla Canton Court pre-qualified prosecution against three suspects in the case of brothers Percic. All suspects have been accused of attempted murder. Damir Kaletovic produced the report.

Sarajevo

The Stability Pact Anti-Corruption Team has been estimating the situation in anti-corruption process in B&H. According to the Head of the Team, Didier Fau B&H anti-corruption teams are not making sufficient efforts in fight against corruption, Amarildo Gutic reported.

Mostar

The UN Mission in B&H and the B&H Ministry of Internal Affairs of Hercegovacko-Neretvljanski Canton held a press conference in Mostar. According to Sead Brankovic, the Canton Internal Ministry Press Officer, smuggled cigarettes, about DM 1 million worth have been confiscated in the last month. The RS Assembly adopted the Law on Labour and Employment in today’s session, Tatjana Lajsic reported.

The Chairman of the B&H Constitutional Court, Kasim Begic informed journalists about reception of the B&H Constitutional Court in the Conference of European Constitutional Court, by a unanimous decision. Amarildo Gutic produced the report.

Banja Luka

The Deputy High Representative, Ralph Johnson visited the RS. According to Mr. Johnson, B&H should speed up the privatisation process, in order to ensure further international aid. Mr. Johnson did not exclude possibility of reduction of the aid for B&H, Nedeljka Breberina reported.

World

The Serbian Assembly appointed the Interim Government today. In an interview for CBS, the Yugoslav President, Vojislav Kostunica admitted that the Yugoslav Army and police participated in violence in Kosovo last year.

Israeli-Palestinian clashes continued. One boy was killed in Gaza.

The Israeli authorities permitted re-opening of the Palestinian airport in Gaza.

The Leader of North Korea promised to the US Secretary General Ms. Albright that they would not launch high-range rockets in the future. Gordana Frimel reported on current world events.

The RS Health Union decided to start a general strike on 1st November, if their requests are not fulfilled by then, Biljana Arsic reported.

The Croatian Economic delegation arrived in Sarajevo today. Representatives of the company “Pliva” from Zagreb met Canton officials, as well as representatives of the B&H company “Bosnalijek”. A workshop was organised in the “Holiday Inn” Hotel. Reported by Ambra Bravo.
