Sarajevo

Rotation of the BiH Presidency Chairman provided by the Constitution was implemented today. For the next eight months, Presidency Chairman will be Ante Jelavic, instead of Zivko Radisic stated OBN reporter Amarildo Gutic.

Kosovo

According to NATO, one third of the Yugoslav Army have withdrawn from Kosovo up to now. The deadline for the withdrawal of all Yugoslav Army troops from the South of Kosovo expires tonight, at midnight. OBN reporter from Pristina, Natasa Narancic, reported on the current, unstable situation in Kosovo.

Serbian sources in Kosovo announced that approximately 7,000 Russian troops would arrive in Kosovo within the next few days. In Moscow, the Russian Prime Minister announced that the misunderstanding between Russia and NATO, in respect of deployment of international troops in Kosovo, would be solved by the end of this week.

The Special UNHCR Envoy for the Balkans appealed to Kosovo refugees not to come back to their homes until all security conditions were provided. More than 23,000 Serbian civilians have left Kosovo since Saturday, when the deployment of international troops started. OBN reporter from Skoplje, Safet Bisevac, reported on more than 1,000 Kosovo refugees returning to Kosovo from Macedonia.

SFOR Spokesperson confirmed that another Russian convoy from the SFOR troops has gone to Kosovo. SFOR Headquarters was informed about the Russian Government’s decision to move the troops to Yugoslavia to join 200 Russian troops who were moved from the SFOR base in South East Bosnia to Kosovo on Friday.

Brcko

Two police officers were suspended due to their unprofessional behavior and misuse of their authorizations last week in Brcko. OBN was unofficially informed that car smuggling was in question.

Sarajevo

A report on the irregular session of the Sarajevo Canton Interior Ministry Syndicate held today in Sarajevo. Participants discussed the recent increase of attacks on police officers in the Canton and how to prevent that in the future.

Banja Luka

The first generation of students of the RS Interior Ministry School in Banja Luka have finished their schooling.

Zenica

A report on the suspension of the coal miners’ strike in Zenica. The decision was reached after four days of strike due to unpaid salaries for April.

Mostar

Today in Mostar, the reconstructed textile factory restarted its production. The funds provided for the project were two million three hundred DEM.

Privatization (Topic of TV Info)

A report on the process of privatization in the Tuzla and Zenica-Doboj Canton areas. The first public auctions have been held in Zenica and Tuzla.

Sarajevo

Banja Luka

A piece on privatization and its development in the RS came from Banja Luka. The Peoples Assembly of the Republika Srpska did not adopt the laws which are directly and indirectly connected to the privatization process and vouchers.

Statistical institution in the Federation BiH has presented the data of the economy and other issues for May and April. According to this, industrial production in May was 3.5% lower than in the April.
