Tuzla

Pentagon announced possibility for decrease of NATO troops in BiH by half. Formal approval from NATO will be needed for this, and the US Defence Minister, William Cohen, during his visit to the military base “Eagle” near Tuzla, said that the final estimation is still not completed. NATO Commander for Europe, General Wesley Clark, also visited Tuzla, OBN reporter from Tuzla, Muhamed Berbic, confirmed for TV INFO.

Banja Luka

Talks between Slobodan Milosevic’s and Milo Dukanovic’s parties, about redefinition of relations between Serbia and Montenegro, are scheduled for tomorrow. Vuk Draskovic, the leader of the Serb Movement for Restoration, said today in Banja Luka that the new Federal Prime Minister, in the reconstructed government of Yugoslavia, would be Milo Dukanovic. OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Biljana Arsic, produced the report.

Kosovo

A report on the meeting of the G 7 countries held in Brussels. The participants pledged to provide necessary financial support for reconstruction of damage caused by the war in Kosovo. OBN received report from Brussels on this.

This was followed by a report on the current political situation in Serbia and arrival of the main prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal, Louise Arbour, in Kosovo, Linda Shala reported from Pristina for OBN.

For the fourth time during the past several weeks, a Bosniak house has been attacked with bombs in Banja Luka, the SFOR Spokesman, David Scanlon announced today in Sarajevo. No one was hurt, and SFOR increased its control in Banja Luka due to this incident.

Sarajevo

A report on the session of the BiH Council of Ministers held today in Sarajevo. The main topic of the session was the organisation of the forthcoming Summit of the South East European Pact of Stability. OBN reporter, Bakir Hadziomerovic, produced a report on this. The final decision on the exact date of the Summit will be announced tomorrow.

This was followed by a report on the talks between the Deputy Prime Minister of the BiH Federation, Dragan Covic, and the Manager of the World of Bank Program of Privatisation, Saumij Mitro. OBN reporter, Adis Saranovic, produced a report on this.

Doboj

A report on talks between the representatives of syndicates from both BiH entities today in Doboj. Among other requests from both syndicates, a request to stop the process of privatisation was presented to the public until a number of workers’ problems have been solved. A report on this was presented by Svjetlana Celic – Ninkovic, OBN reporter from Doboj.

Sarajevo

A report on the meeting between the Chairman of the BiH Presidency with representatives of the Association of the Bosniak, Croat and Serb refugees today in Sarajevo. The participants discussed all problems faced by refugees and displaced persons in BiH. OBN journalist, Mirela Pehar, produced a report on this.

Banja Luka

Approximately fifty thousand Serbs, refugees from Croatia, currently live in the RS – this was announced today in Banja Luka. The Association of Refugee Serbs from Krajina asks this issue to be solved on the regional level. OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Tatjana Lajsic, produced a report on this.

Brcko

Opening of the first office of a political party from the BiH Federation, Social Democratic Party, in Brcko.

Banja Luka

A report on a student gathering at the Police Academy in RS, together with the candidates from the BiH Federation today in Banja Luka. Elizabeth Rehn, who worked on the establishment of the multiethnic police in BiH, attended the meeting.

World

This was followed by a report on the latest events in Iran, Northern Ireland, Israel, and Atlanta in the USA.

Sport

A report on the fifth European Olympic Days of Young People in Denmark was followed by reports on Tour de France and Formula One.

Sarajevo

A report on the rock concert held in Sarajevo on Monday night. More that 20,000 people from all parts of BiH attended the concert. OBN reporter, Damir Kaletovic, produced the report.
