Banja Luka

RS National Assembly discussed the draft law on privatisation of state-owned flats today. Representatives of the Coalition for Complete and Democratic BiH and Social-democrat Party had some remarks regarding the draft law just as the High Representative Office. The draft law treats discriminating those who left the RS. The RS Government will deliver the draft law to the National Assembly in the period of thirty days after public discussions about the law were held. The Assembly adopted a proposal on stopping eviction orders during the winter. The report was produced by OBN reporter from Banja Luka, Dragan Stanimirovic.

Bosanski Brod

Investigators from the RS discovered that that the oil refinery in Bosanski Brod was damaged for 14 million KM due to illegal operations. Six investigated individuals were released from prison and suspended from their duties. Only the Manager of the company, Vojin Mujicic, was not suspended. Member of the BiH Presidency from the RS, Zivko Radisic, claimed that individuals from both entities’ authorities were involved in illegal trade with oil from the refinery in Brod. Sarajevo

Representative House of the BiH Assembly supported the draft election law made by OSCE. The representative also discussed the suggestion for the law on refugees, which was not adopted today, OBN reporter, Anes Alic, confirmed.

Guest of TV INFO

Guest of TV INFO, and presenters Duska Jurisic and Aleksandar Mlac, was the President of the Social-democratic Party of BiH, Zlatko Lagumdzija. SDP of BiH became a member of the international social-democratic parties at the Congress held yesterday. Zlatko Lagumdzija discussed the recently suggested draft election law made by OSCE and meetings he had yesterday with officials of the world.

Sarajevo

The BiH Federation Government determined a draft law on the Interior Ministry. With this draft law, authorisations of the Deputy Minister of Police were decreased. Croat representatives were not happy with the decision because they were outvoted by Bosniak representatives, OBN reporter, Slobodan Maksimovic, confirmed.

This was followed by a report on the continuation of the court proceeding at the Canton Court in the “Narodna banka” case. Employees of “Narodna banka” have been accused of misuse of their authorisations and damaging of “Narodna banka” for 13,5 million KM. After yesterday’s statement of the first accused, the ex Governor of “Narodna banka”, Kasim Omicevic, the second accused, the Vice Governor, Enver Backovic, gave his statement today. He denied Omicevic’s statement that Omicevic was not informed about transactions with “Promdei” Bank. The report was produced by OBN reporter, Amarildo Gutic.

Serbian Assembly adopted a law on strengthening of local self-management which will make stronger the central authorities. Representative of the Association for Changes, Vladan Batic, announced that opposition would start with civil disobedience. Mostar

Yesterday, Bosniak representatives of the Neretva Canton, the town of Mostar and Mostar municipalities decided to freeze their relations with the regional office of the High Representative in Mostar. They claim that nothing was achieved since the establishment of peace in the town. The Bosniak representatives announced that one-party decision on giving the Mostar Grammar School to be attended only by Croat pupils was further division of the town. The Head of OHR in Mostar, Gerhard Sontheim, said that the decision was a unilateral step of the Croat authorities. The report was produced by OBN reporter from the town, Mirsad Behram.

Previously announced general strike of rail road workers in the RS was postponed. The workers held a warning protest today.

Sarajevo

A piece on invalids in the Sarajevo Canton. Only in this Canton, there are 2,500 invalids who face with many problems. Because of that, they announced establishing of their coalition.
