Radisic called into question the boundary treaty between Croatia and BiH. This was also the main topic of the meeting between Radisic and Meigs. Radisic’s adviser, Mirjanic said that Radisic used his constitutional right and informed Jelavic about the fact that a decision on the issue had not yet been made and therefore the treaty signed in Sarajevo could not be implemented. Meigs said that as far as he was concerned the correct border is the border agreed upon by the Commission and ratified by the 2 states.
Svetozar Mihajlovic said that the border treaty was detrimental to the RS, adding that the river Una is the geographic (natural) boundary and therefore provides stability and peace for both countries. On the other hand, the administrative border, determined by the treaty, will cause intolerance and possible conflict in the future. Mihajlovic also commented on possible misunderstandings between SNS and SPRS caused by statements of some SPRS leaders. Commenting on the new media decision, Mihajlovic said that we should have returned to the original principles of the DPA, because television is in the competency of the entities.
The border-crossing in Ivanjica reopened. SRT correspondent from Trebinje reports on the event. SRT carried the statements of Trebinje mayor and Jacques Paul Klein who assessed the event as a step forward to reconciliation. Ralph Johnson and Marko Asanin also attended the opening ceremony.
