SRT correspondent from Belgrade (Draga Grubic) reports on difficult situation in Kosovska Mitrovica where Albanians and Serbs held demonstrations, French K-for prevented incidents in this divided town, Serbs flee from Pristina, kidnapped Serbs from Pristina, situation in Prizren, Bratislava Morina’s ( FRY Commissioner for refugees) statement on Serbs who are returning to Kosovo. SRT carried the news on cessation of FRY Army reservists’ strike caused by the unpaid wages in Raska (the town 250 km south from Belgrade); SRT carried the statements of : SPO, SRS, DSS, ND, DS, Zoran Zivkovic (on lawsuit against Djindjic), RTS accusing Djindjic and FRY ex-PM Milan Panic of treason.
SPO accused Federal Defence Minister Pavle Bulatovic of not paying out the wages to the FRY Army soldiers and reservists and requested the state to do so.
SRS stated that tragic events and great suffering of Serbs in Kosovo confirmed the fact that US plan for destroying Serbia is still going on. The final aim of the plan is occupation of all territories settled with Serbs.- TANJUG
DSS: Vojislav Kostunica says that Kosovo is only a geographic notion from the FRY point of view. The task of Serbia is to remind the UN Security Council Resolution where it is written that Serbia’s integrity and sovereignty have to be respected.- SRNA
ND says that FRY has to do everything in order to provide its presence at the upcoming Summit of Stability Pact in Sarajevo.- BETA
DS: The leader of this party Zoran Djindjic is coming back to Belgrade tonight. Two separate lawsuits have been filed against Djindjic: for failing to report to his unit after being called up by the FRY Army (the lawsuit was filed by the Military Prosecutors Office) and for evasion of military service. If he is found guilty, he faces between 5 and 20 years in prison.- BETA
Zoran Zivkovic says that lawsuit filed against Djindjic is unfounded, because conscription note has not been delivered to him or his lawyers.- SRNA
RTS accused Djindjic and FRY ex-PM Milan Panic of betraying Serbian interests, because at the recent Summit in Vienna they required foreign mentors to assist in overthrowing the Serbian Government.

Celebration of 4th of July, The Veteran’s Day in Mrakovica; Zivko Radisic, Tihomir Gligoric and Milo Markovic (the Head of Veterans’ Association from the Second World War from Yugoslavia – SUBNOR) attended the celebration. The item is accompanied with report of SRT correspondent from Prijedor (Aleksandar Skoric).
The Association of DPs from Sanski Most held a meeting in Prijedor. The conclusion of the meeting is that due to the obstruction of Sanski Most authorities the return of Serb refugees and their property became very difficult. – SRNA
On the occasion of frequent incidents in Drvar, The Head of OHR Office in Drvar, Peter Chappel stated that OHR would stop the return of Serb refugees in this town in order to keep the situation in Drvar stable. – ONASA Croats who occupy Serb houses in Drvar protested because of the return of Serb refugees to their pre- war houses. The Special Squad of Livno Canton Police arrived in Drvar after the meeting of International Agencies, including SFOR, in order to prevent the further escalation of conflicts between Croats and Serb returnees in the town.
