At the press conference held today in Banja Luka Professor Mladen Ivanic who was proposed for a mandatary by the RS President Biljana Plavsic stated that he was going to present the concept of the Government of National Unity. It should consist of two parts- a political one in which there will be the representatives of the parliamentary parties and a part of experts who can be and do not obligatory have to be members of any party within the RS National Assembly.

The Member of the B&H Presidency from RS, Momcilo Krajisnik talked to the British Ambassador in B&H, Charles Crawford about the realization of the Bonn conference conclusions and about the implementation of the military part of the DA in Pale today. He stated that the RS was for the full implementation of the DA. However, he was against its revision which should be done according to some members of the IC, Srna reports. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the B&H Council of Ministers, Dragan Bozanic stated that there had been talks about the full implementation of the DA as well as about the currency, flag and plates.

The Member of the B&H Presidency from RS, Momcilo Krajisnik and the RS Minister of Defense, Milan Ninkovic had a meeting with the Greek Minister of Defense in Pale today. After the meeting Mr Krajisnik said that a meeting had been useful and he thanked the Greek Minister for the cooperation, understanding and support that Greece had offered so far in order to establish peace in this region.

Minister of Foreign Affairs in the RS Government, Aleksa Buha met the Ambassador of Great Britain in B&H, Charles Crawford in Pale today. They talked about the constitutional session of the RS National Assembly which was stopped in Bijeljina on Saturday.

Member of the Working Presidency of the RS National Assembly, Dragan Kalinic gave a statement today to the BBC radio claiming that if the High Representative for B&H decides to determine which officials in the Government and in the RS Assembly should be key persons it will be defeating for the Serb people. He also emphasized that, for sure, Mr Westendorp was going to use his new authorizations that had been given to him at the Bonn conference.

Newly-elected President of Serbia, Milan Milutinovic took the oath today at the session of the Serbia Assembly by which he officially took over the function of the President. Just before he took the oath the deputies of the Serb Radical Party left the Assembly session. They insisted upon RTS live-broadcasting of the session and they demanded the validity of December presidential elections to be checked.

“IC gave a new ultimatum to the Serbs through the Deputy High Representative for B&H, Hanns Schumacher, who insisted upon the full implementation of the DA at the constitutional session of the Assembly in Bijeljina. The main demand was that all indicted war criminals must be extradited to the Hague Tribunal. If the RS does not fully implement the DA until the end of January, High Representative, Carlos Westendorp will impose, in the form of a law, some measures which will have to be fair”, Greek newspapers report.

At the press conference held today the Minister of Information, Svjetlana Siljegovic stated that her Ministry was not responsible for not having a TV live-broadcasting of the constitutional session of the RS Parliament on Saturday. “The SRT Banja Luka studio employees did not have technical capacities for it”, she said-Beta reports.
