“The USA supports RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik and his government as being pro-democratic and pro-Dayton”, stated US Special Envoy for the Balkans, Robert Gelbard, in Podgorica today. Mr Gelbard will visit B&H tomorrow. According to an announcement he will hold talks with representatives of the joint B&H bodies of both the RS and the B&H Federation authorities.

In Banja Luka today RS President Biljana Plavsic and Prime Minister Milorad Dodik received, in separate visits, the Finnish Ambassador to B&H. They discussed the current situation in the RS and the FRY. They also talked about Finnish technical assistance in the reconstruction of railroads, forestry and telecommunications within the RS.

RS President Biljana Plavsic received the Canadian Foreign Minister in Banja Luka today. They talked about violation of the DPA provisions committed by the B&H Federation, with special emphasis on the violation of freedom of movement. The Canadian Minister expressed interest in supporting development of the educational system and revitalisation of the RS power grid.

FRY President Slobodan Milosevic talked in Belgrade today with the OSCE Chairman, the Polish Foreign Minister, about co-operation with European institutions and the situation in Kosovo.

The Head of the Information Service of the General Headquarters of the FRY Army stated that FRY military forces were not involved in the struggles against terrorists in Kosovo and Metohija. The only forces involved in the conflict were members of the Serbian Interior Ministry, who were well trained and equipped for an efficient response to the Albanian terrorists.
