The 7th Session of the RS NA commenced in Banja Luka today. SDS and SRS deputies left the Assembly. Milan Tupajic (SDS) and Milan Lazic (SRS) said that these parties would walk out of the RS Assembly because the election of the new RS Government was not on the agenda. The deputies still have not harmonised their views regarding the agenda. SDS and SRS requested the election of the new RS Government to be on the agenda, but their request did not win the majority of votes. Another request made by these two parties (formulated as a proposal for the solution of the election of the Government) was also not accepted.
The RS NA Session review: SDS and SRS requested the election of the new RS Government to be on the agenda, coalition “Sloga” was against it and requested the adoption of the law which the RS Government sent to the parliamentary procedure. At the beginning of the Session Djokic proposed the 46 items of the agenda. Kremenovic requested the proposed laws on securities, law on real estate and the proposal of the decision on establishing the International Academy for sports be stricken from the agenda. He also demanded the agenda to be supplemented with information on the material situation of pensioners. Safet Bico (KCD BiH) requested the IC to adopt the law on refugees and DPs at the BiH level, assessing the RS law on refugees and DPs as discriminating. RS Minister of refugees and DPs reminded that OHR and UNHCR had “green lighted” this law.
On the occasion of the RS NA Session HR Carlos Westendorp visited Banja Luka where he met the members of “Sloga” coalition. Westendorp said that it was very important to resume inter-party talks in order to stabilise the situation in the RS. Westendorp added that the parties should reach an inter-party agreement on a stabile government. HR also met the RS Vice President Sarovic.
The RS PM Dodik talked to representatives of the European Department for International Development on 17 million pounds worth of projects allocated to the RS.

SRT correspondent from Belgrade (Radmila Urosevic) reports on Albanians intimidating and expelling Serbs from their apartments, first round of talks between JUL and DPS on redefinition of relations between Montenegro and Serbia, mass grave in the village of Celine where 21 bodies of children were found (followed by CNN footage) and action of Alliance of Change (petition for Milosevic’s resignation).
SRT carried the statements of Nebojsa Covic (Democratic Alternative), DS, ND, SPO and the Bosnian Council of Sandzak.
BiH Central Bank Governor Peter Nicholl signed a contract with representatives of Raiffeisen Bank and Bundes Bank which enables the exchange of KM in these two banks. Exchange rate is 1 DM : 1 Hungarian forint which will improve co-operation between BiH and Hungary.
OSCE Mission in Croatia Spokesman Peter Palmer said that Serb refugees should be eligible to vote at the forthcoming elections in Croatia.
