BiH elections could be postponed – Vollebaek
OSCE Chairman Knut Vollebaek met with BiH Presidency members and stated that the OSCE Permanent Council will bring a final decision on 10 July regarding the schedule for holding BiH elections. Vollebaek stated that political parties in BiH consider it unrealistic to have elections this autumn and added that it would be better for all parties to postpone until spring. Vollebaek hailed the work of the joint institutions and said that the ‘stability pact Eastern European countries’ could be of help and assistance to the entire region.

RS National Assembly session
The RS National Assembly held its sixth session, where representatives discussed the resolution brought at their session on 7 March, according to which they do not accept the Brcko arbitration decision, High Representative Carlos Westendorp’s decision on Poplasen’s replacement and the moratorium on all RS representatives work in joint institutions. The SRS and SDS called on delegates at the session to confirm this resolution and strengthen the position of rejecting the Brcko arbitration decision. The SDS and SRS do not accept the Brcko arbitration decision as final. CD Coalition and SDP delegates warned that this resolution is not to remain enforced, because the RS National Assembly has no such authority on these issues. CD Coalition delegate Munib Jusufovic called on the Assembly to accept the Brcko arbitration decision. After discussion at the session, the Assembly proposed postponement of the deadline for Brcko arbitration decision implementation for another 90 days.

Kljujic comments on restructuring of RTV BiH
Republican Party President Stjepan Kljujic stated that RTV BiH has, through its political actions, ‘sold’ the interests of workers and brought the TV station into a difficult financial situation. He stated that the process of breaking up the state would be secured if two BiH Federation TV channels would be formed.
